PL BioScience
PL BioScience·7 January 2026·1 minute read

This study characterized a human juvenile bone marrow-derived MSC line for osteogenic differentiation research, expanded using 2.5% fibrinogen-depleted Human Platelet Lysate (HPL) and heparin from PL BioScience.

This Frontiers study established and characterized a human juvenile bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem/stromal cell (MSC) line under advanced culture conditions, evaluating its suitability for osteogenic differentiation research. The work aimed to provide a well-characterized, scalable juvenile MSC model for bone-related studies.

The culture workflow used 2.5% fibrinogen-depleted Human Platelet Lysate (HPL) and heparin from PL BioScience, and the cryopreservation medium likewise contained 10% HPL from PL BioScience. HPL supported both the expansion and the preservation conditions behind this juvenile MSC model.
