Company story & history

Where it started

2013

Dr. Hatim Hemeda achieves breakthrough results in stem cell research using a self-produced human platelet concentrate — not yet commercially available anywhere.

2015

PL BioScience is founded as a spin-off of RWTH Aachen University to bring a patent-protected, scalable production process to market.

Today

PL BioScience offers standardised, reproducible Human Platelet Lysates under the ELAREM™ brand — replacing animal serum in cell culture at scale.
